Job Description
Technical Marketing Coordinator
About Growth Wizard
Growth Wizard (growthwizard.com) is a marketing agency that treats digital marketing like engineering. We don’t just recommend what to do—we architect, build, and deploy the systems that make it happen.
We specialize in the intersection where marketing strategy meets technical execution: complex automation workflows, multi-platform data integrations, CRM architecture, and custom-built marketing infrastructure for companies with unique technical requirements. Our clients come to us when their needs are too sophisticated for traditional agencies—when they need people who can both understand the marketing objectives and build the technical systems to achieve them.
Think less “marketing agency,” more “technical implementation partner who happens to focus on marketing systems.”
Title: Technical Marketing Coordinator
Compensation: $54,000-$64,000
Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote (US-based)
Level: Entry-Level
We’re looking for someone who thinks like a builder. The kind of person who took things apart as a kid just to see how they worked. Who gets excited about understanding systems, debugging problems, and figuring out how pieces fit together.
You’ll work alongside our account managers on technical marketing implementations—building automation workflows, setting up tracking systems, configuring integrations between platforms, and solving technical challenges for our clients. This means:
Assisting with complex HubSpot, email platform, and ad platform implementations
Researching and prototyping solutions to technical marketing problems
Building and test marketing automation workflows
Managing data flows between different marketing systems
Collaborating with designers and developers on campaign assets
Documenting technical processes and system architectures
The goal: Train you to independently lead technical marketing accounts. This means becoming deeply expert in at least one marketing channel (paid ads, email/marketing automation, or SEO) while maintaining the technical chops to build and debug complex systems.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience)
0-2 years experience in marketing, web development, or technical roles
Working knowledge of at least one programming language (JavaScript, Python)
Excellent written and verbal communication (you’ll be interfacing with clients)
A problem-solving mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, willing to dig into documentation, enjoys the detective work of debugging
Strongly Preferred:
Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or technical degree (or equivalent self-taught background)
You might be an engineer who wants to apply technical skills in a more creative, business-focused environment
Experience with any of: WordPress development, SQL databases, front-end web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
Familiarity with paid ads platforms (Meta, Google Ads) OR email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, etc.)
SEO background and understanding of technical SEO
Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, or integration platforms
Who Thrives Here
You’re detail-oriented but not precious about it. You like understanding how systems work at a fundamental level. You get satisfaction from making complex things work smoothly. You’re comfortable learning new platforms and technologies quickly. You want to build tangible things, not just make slide decks.
You’re hungry to develop deep expertise and don’t mind doing unglamorous work when you’re learning. You see junior work as an apprenticeship, not a stepping stone you’re trying to skip.
Most importantly: you think of marketing as a technical discipline, not just a creative one.
Guidelines to apply:
Submit your resume and a cover letter detailing a technical or process-related problem you faced in a prior role or internship. Walk us through how you diagnosed it, the steps you took to solve it, and what you learned from the experience.
