About the Role
Vanguard Parking Solutions is seeking a Camera Systems Technician to manage and
maintain our network of LPR (License Plate Recognition) and surveillance cameras across
multiple locations. This role is critical to ensuring high system performance, capture accuracy,
and operational uptime within our enforcement platform.
Key Responsibilities
● Monitor, inspect, and maintain all installed LPR and surveillance cameras.
● Aim, adjust, and fine-tune camera angles for optimal plate capture and performance.
● Verify system health, network connectivity, and data transmission.
● Diagnose and resolve camera issues, including misalignment, obstructions, image
quality, or hardware faults.
● Maintain camera settings (exposure, shutter speed, focus, IR, etc.) and ensure proper
configuration.
● Conduct routine site visits to perform physical inspections and adjustments.
● Document issues, updates, and performance changes.
● Collaborate with the operations and development teams to improve capture rates and
overall system reliability.
● Assist with new site installations and hardware deployment as needed.
Requirements
● Strong technical aptitude and comfort working with equipment, software settings, and
troubleshooting processes.
● Ability to understand camera behavior, angles, lighting, and environmental factors.
● Previous experience in photography, videography, or camera operation preferred.
● Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addresses, connectivity checks, router
basics) is a plus.
● Comfortable traveling between sites and working in outdoor environments.
● Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
● Strong communication skills and ability to document and relay technical information
clearly.
Preferred Skills
● Experience with LPR or CCTV systems.
● Familiarity with mounting hardware, tools, and physical installation.
● Ability to analyze capture patterns and recommend field improvements.
● Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
