Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Designer to join his team , a boutique cabinet manufacturing and installation company. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the design process, collaborating with clients, and overseeing projects from concept to completion. Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2020 Design software is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

Design Leadership:

Lead the design team in creating innovative and functional cabinetry solutions for residential and commercial projects.
Ensure designs meet client specifications, aesthetic preferences, and budget constraints.
Client Collaboration:

Work closely with clients to understand their vision, space requirements, and style preferences.
Present design concepts, layouts, and renderings to clients for approval.
Technical Design & Drafting:

Utilize AutoCAD and 2020 Design software to produce detailed and accurate 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and renderings.
Create and review technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing and installation teams.
Project Oversight:

Coordinate with production and installation teams to ensure designs are executed accurately and on schedule.
Conduct site visits to verify measurements and ensure design feasibility.
Team Collaboration:

Mentor junior designers and provide guidance to ensure consistent quality and innovation in design.
Collaborate with sales, production, and project management teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
Quality Assurance:

Review and refine designs to ensure they meet industry standards, company quality benchmarks, and client expectations.
Resolve design-related issues that may arise during manufacturing or installation.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cabinetry design, including leadership roles.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2020 Design software is required.
Strong knowledge of cabinetry materials, construction techniques, and installation processes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in kitchen and bath design or custom millwork.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and CNC technology.
Knowledge of industry trends and sustainable design practices.
